Love is a powerful weapon, it can make someone do anything for their loved ones. There are many relationships in this novel whether it is blood or true love for someone you cannot live without. Throughout the novel the relationships have a struggle of staying alive. Blanca and Pedro had the worst struggle of keeping their love alive. Many factors played a part in trying to separate them. Blanca is from the high-class, while Pedro is a servant. To them that means nothing, but to Blanca’s father, Esteban Trueba, that means everything.
